The cinematic lights of Los Angeles are set to converge with the dynamism of East Asia for a major global content summit. The Biltmore in Los Angeles will host a high-stakes gathering, drawing together some of the world’s most innovative creative minds and financial heavyweights. This convergence promises to redefine the landscape of global entertainment commerce.

The event, U-KNOCK 2026, is scheduled to take place from November 4th to 6th, 2026. This significant programme is organised by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and hosted by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Its primary function is to facilitate critical connections, linking pioneering Korean content and technology firms with major American investors and entertainment partners.

Charting the future of digital storytelling

Building upon its success over the past few years, U-KNOCK 2026 is specifically designed to foster deep, lasting international partnerships rather than merely presenting fleeting deals. The programme structure is highly focused, featuring an International Content Investment Forum on the fifth day, dedicated to high-level discussions among industry leaders. These discussions are centred around the theme, “What Makes Content Last,” encouraging deep examination of how cultural success can be transformed into lasting commercial value.

The forum’s curriculum is expansive, exploring cutting-edge areas such as intellectual property (IP) monetization, the strategies required for global franchise expansion, and the complex business models being shaped by artificial intelligence and evolving digital platforms. Crucially, the gathering brings together diverse perspectives from the American sector, including major financial institutions and entertainment players like Amblin Entertainment and The Raine Group.

Showcasing the next generation of Korean IP

The heart of the event involves a showcase of five leading Korean companies, each demonstrating their unique business models and ambitious plans for expanding into the North American market. These innovators represent a spectrum of media technologies, from advanced virtual production to sophisticated fan engagement platforms. Companies such as YN Culture & Space, known for its advanced LED-wall infrastructure, and Studio Eon, which uses an Unreal Engine-based pipeline for sci-fi animation, highlight the industry’s technical prowess.

Further demonstrating the breadth of Korean creativity, the showcase includes Modhaus, the company linked to the K-pop group tripleS and the Web3 platform COSMO. Other key players include Contents First, which manages the global readership for Tappytoon, and Klleon, which specialises in developing real-time multilingual interactive digital humans. Collectively, these companies illustrate how stories can seamlessly travel across multiple formats, ensuring that content models can evolve to support sustainable global businesses.

Connecting creation with capital

The momentum continues onto the sixth day when the five showcase participants are joined by an additional seven companies, creating a powerful twelve-company delegation. This expanded group covers everything from original story IP found in web novels and dramas, to cutting-edge generative AI and interactive entertainment platforms. The goal of these meetings is intensely practical: to connect these creative ventures directly with North American buyers, studios, and investors.

The additional participants bring highly specific, marketable concepts to the table. For instance, Mstoryhub’s webtoon IP includes the popular title The Remarried Empress, whilst JIRO is presenting its AI-generated K-pop idol IP, SEORIA. Another notable offering is Draftify’s PlaySquad, which provides playable livestreaming that allows viewers to actively influence the gameplay. For financiers and executives attending, the opportunity is clear: deep, personalized meetings are available across the full spectrum of modern media.

From the grand stages of investment forums to the intricate details of one-on-one business consultations, U-KNOCK 2026 promises a pivotal junction for global creativity. Ultimately, the meeting of talent and finance ensures that the stories told in Korea will continue to resonate across the world. Just as they set the scene on the West Coast, Korean content will continue to conquer the globe.
